  : The elevator and underground parking are convenient for parents traveling with children. The management is responsive to complaints. The apartment offers privacy.
  : Unfortunately, my wife and daughter had a terrible experience:—After traveling a full day from California to the East Coast, they arrived at Oakwood at 7pm. The person staffing Oakwood’s concierge was rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. Some facts: 1. the person never greeted them, 2. it took 1.5 hours for check in to complete even though my wife and young daughter were the only ones checking in during this time, 3. the person berated my wife for not knowing the license plate number of the rental car (even though my wife had just rented the car, it was nighttime, and she had already waited for 1 hour by this point for check in process to finish), 4. the person never gave my wife the apartment number—my wife saw it in one of the forms the person was holding. We complained to management. Management was responsive and told us this person was from a contract agency, not regular staff. Still, it was a horrible experience.—There were hairs on the bed sheets and the bedroom smelled damp upon arrival. My wife had to change the sheets. In her words: “it was disgusting.”—Dishes and other items in the kitchen such as utensils had spots as if these were not properly cleaned.For these reasons, my wife left a day earlier than planned.
