  : Location is good, and well situated for anyone attending an exhibition at the Charlotte Conference centre. The room was aesthetically pleasing, and spacious.
  : The bedrooms on the 6th floor are directly adjacent to a terrace used for events, leading to significant privacy and noise issues. Conversations from the terrace were audible in my room, and event attendees could easily see into the bedroom. Although there wasn't an event during my stay, this would have been especially problematic for me as a business traveler if there had been a late-night event.The hotel staff did attempt to relocate me to a different room, but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked.Additionally, the hotel only offers free Wi-Fi to guests who book directly through their website. If you book through third-party sites like Booking.com, you are required to pay for Wi-Fi. Given that this is not a budget hotel, this policy felt punitive. Considering Charlotte is both a business and leisure destination, offering free low-speed internet as a basic amenity seems reasonable to expect.

  : The location was great and the rooms were spacious. The bathrooms were very nice with a walk-in shower and the amenities were good.
  : The elevators were truly some of the eeriest elevators I’ve ever encountered. There were no floor buttons inside. You had to use a screen pad outside the elevator to choose your floor, and sometimes you had to scan a key card and sometimes you didn’t. I couldn’t find a pattern for that, so I would often just slide my key card against the wall (?) just in case. One time we picked the wrong floor and didn’t get off and the elevator then closed and took us to a random floor and we just sat there inside. I had to press the door open button to get out. They also have a rooftop bar which is very nice, however sometimes the button to get there was on the elevator pad and sometimes it wasn’t. Of course, when we wanted to go up there around 9:30pm, the button wasn’t there so we had to go all the way down to the lobby, walk out of the elevator to a man standing at a golden podium with a red velvet rope, and tell him we wanted to go to the bar. He then proceeded to walk (not an exaggeration) 4 paces to the elevator, scan his own keycard, and usher us through. It was bizarre. Also, the wifi wasn’t free.
