  : The rooms were clean and comfortable - the public areas were appealing, too.
  : The location. Chowchilla is *not really* near Yosemite - its about an hour and a half away. Theres nothing much around this hotel, and the traffic and *trains* kept the kids awake constantly through out the night.

  : I didn't like not being able to get a print out of all fees associated with my stay. I was charged twice for this environmental fee $13.60 a night, when I booked the room it listed it as includded. If I knew at the time I book the room I was paying this price, I would not have booked it.

  : There is a lot of noise in the rooms facing the motorway as the windows are not soundproof or not enough. Also there is a gap of 2 cm between the bottom of the door and the floor so you can hear everyone talking in the corridor. You need ear plugs for these reasons if you want to sleep well.This is not a 4 stars hotel as falsely advertised on Booking.com but a 3 stars. The breakfast is really basic. The food is basic and you eat in paper or plastic plates and plastic cutlery that you throw away. The breakfast area is just a space near the entrance and reception not really pleasant. I paid my hotel directly on Booking.com all taxes included ( expensive on Saturday) and despite this , the hotel manager charges you with an additional "sustainability fee" of 13 dollars which brings the hotel around 10 % additional to their annual income which is enormous. All customers were angry about this undue fee but if you didn't pay it when arriving you didn't get the key. I don't like scams.Booking.com doesn't want to reimburse it or show it in their price all included. For these reasons I will never stay again in this kind of place when I go back to Chowchilla and never again in a Holiday inn anywhere in the world. Also since 2 weeks I didn't book anymore through Booking.com and it will last.
