  : Thought this place would be a good deal, good location and nice enough for a one night stay before my family and I got on our cruise ship, BUT was I wrong. First, the hotel wasn’t the cleanest, and the staff was less than friendly at best, BUT THE WORST PART is they over charged me almost $400 and I have still yet to get my money back a week later. I prepaid for my hotel months in advance but when we arrived without my knowledge they charged my card again for two room for almost double the amount I paid a couple months ahead of time. Before leaving for our cruise they informed me funds would be released and it was the clerks fault but a week later I am off the cruise ship and the money is no longer just pending in my account it has completely cleared!!!! I have contacted the hotel twice already and some reason nobody can give me an answer as to why this happened and most importantly they still have not refunded my money!!! Beware of this property… they are either shady or just incompetent at best!

  : We arrived a little late for check in due to unforeseen matters. When got there we were told that our reservation had been cancelled. We thought this was crazy since we were set to check in on Thursday and we arrived on Thursday only to be told our reservations had been cancelled. After a little back and forth, the night clerk was able to get us back into our reservation without any further delay. I didn’t get her name, she was an African American lady (I hate describing her that way) but she was amazing!!! Fairfield certainly has a jewel in this employee.
  : It was old!!! We got our keys and went to our rooms. As we approached our room, you could IMMEDIATELY smell cigarette smoke. I have asthma and sever allergies and the smoke really kicked it into gear. There was no hiding it at all. I immediately called the front desk to let them know. I can tell you that nothing was done because you could still small it and it happened again the next day - Friday. The rooms are very very old. The window in my room leaked, thankful we didn’t have a torrential downpour. The towels left for us, a couple were dirty. The bedding in one of the beds was written on with a pen. We just took it off of the bed. Not to mention the beds were so hard and stiff.
