  : Great location and good value, relative to other options on the island that can be very expensive! Easy and prompt communication and no issues with meeting for keys for check in. Everything was stocked as needed, and the unit itself was pretty comfortable and spacious.
  : The biggest issue was the bed, which was a very cheap foam sort of topper that provided inadequate support. I am not usually hugely picky about beds, but we both (fit, 30-somethings) left here with back pain after sleeping on the bed for three nights, which was pretty frustrating. Worth noting that there is also no A/C, but we were here in December, so the use of fans ended up being adequate at night. I imagine it could be hot at other times in the year.

  : Great location, abut a 5 minute walk from beautiful Kailua beach. Very quiet neighborhood; the property is behind a larger house and is pretty far back from the street.
  : It wasn't very clean, and we were kind of disappointed at the facilities. There is no a/c, so we had to leave all the windows open all the time.

  : NO AC— would have been OK if a breeze was felt. Room was surrounded by partial privacy screens on one side, fencing and other buildings on the other. NO BREEZE. It was STIFLING HOT, particularly mid-day. Host provided two personal fans, which were helpful, but insufficient. We did everything in our power to avoid having to return to the property at all during the day. NOT BEACHFRONT—In our opinion, property was mis-advertised as beachfront. You are actually a block or two from the beach park. No beach access from property. Also, claimed a Mountain View, but we could see NOTHING from the garage/cottage except the main house, fencing, and other homes.LITTLE PRIVACY—Not the place to stay if you value privacy, peace, quiet. This cottage is basically a garage right behind the main home, which also has guests. The limited parking is against the cottage. At 4am two days in a row we were woken up by a car starting up, loud talking, and headlights brightly lighting up our room through the uncurtained windows over the bed. The cottage has a pretty flimsy secondary door that exits into the property's back yard, which is for the main guests only, and there were children playing outside and banging into the door for some of our stay. We had to leave the windows open in order not to suffocate, and it felt like every word we said could be heard in the main house (we heard them clearly). Most of the windows had no curtains and opened directly towards neighboring properties that were about 10-20 feet away. There were a few times I looked outside and had someone on a porch nearby looking right at us.

  : good location for most excursions in Honolulu without the crowds. Kailua Beach was beautiful and really liked the Safeway.
  : A small window air conditioner would really make a difference. We sweat quite a bit at night. Fence doesn't allow for breeze to move through. Thought it might be closer to a beach where you could walk right out. The picture was a bit deceiving.

  : Location was more than ideal in Kailua. Only a block and half from the beach which is super convenient. Lanikai beach was only a 10 mins drive. Parking was at the carport. The host was excellent and responded quickly. it was a very comfortable place for our family.
  : There was no A/C. At times during the day and through the night, it was extremely hot and we were there in early Nov. They provided ceiling fan and portable fans but it still made sleeping very difficult.
