  : The resort is beautiful.It was previously a Marriott Beach Resort, and Reefhouse is doing a good job at doing updates and maintenance. We were told they are going to be remodeling the main restaurant soon as well. We were welcomed with a nice little mini bottle of champagne and cute glasses when we checked in. The beach area, grounds and pool were maintained nicely with fresh towels, plenty of beach lounge chairs, a nice little fire pit for the evenings. They had umbrellas and areas under the tiki roofs to shade when needed as well. It was also very convenient to be able to book some excursions directly out of the Reefhouse Marina. The staff was overall very friendly. They also still have daily housekeeping which we appreciated. The patio had a nice little table and chairs and even a cute little rocking chair. The decor is lovely and gave you that wonderful vacation vibe. The linens are nice andb the towels are comfy, thick and they give you enough. We liked the wristbands that doubled as keys for convenience vs a key card. The pizzas and burgers from Gus' were excellent for a quick relaxing lunch.
  : Overall we enjoyed our stay. There were just a a few things to mention however .One of the designated smoking areas is located near the pools tiki bar directly under a whole wing of guest rooms and patios. We appreciated this was a non smoking hotel when we booked and so having cigarette smoke and weed smoke coming up to our patio and often in the room we did not care for. I think it's just bad placement of the smoking area and could be rectified. Maybe they can move it away from the rooms somehow. The pool was closed during the day 3 days out of our 5 days there for maintenance but would open for a few hours one night and 1/2 day the next. When it did open, the tiki pool bar for drinks was closed. They did offer guests use of their sister hotel's pool down the road although they were not resort properties. The beach area was still open to use. When we expressed disappointment about the pool closure the management promptly offered us a credit of the resort fee for the 3 days the pool was down.This was very kind and although we appreciated it, we would have liked to have just enjoyed our vacation using the pool and bar as we had planned.We had some trouble with slow drains and the toilet had to be finagled to flush about 50% of the time. Management was made aware and quickly offered to come take a look but we did not want to have our room under repair for the short time we were there so we dealt with it fine until we left. It just is an older property and things like that happen. On our first two nights at the resort the neighboring rooms had some very late night owls that were on the balcony being very loud until after 2am. This in itself would be fine, we get hanging out and enjoying yourself however the layout of the rooms made it seem as though they were right on our balcony and yelling. The walls are very thin and made it difficult to sleep the first 2 nights until those guests checked out.
