  : **Please be warned that this place is not suitable for families** The reviews give a completely wrong impression of the place. Reading the reviews, you'd think this place is right at the beach, near a great bakery and cafes, with a soothing sound of the ocean accompanying you to sleep, with a host who is responsive and responsible. We stayed here with my family and two young children. It can't be farther from what we experienced. First off, the building is located in a desolate area and is so run down one would think twice staying here at first sight (see photos). There is a construction right in front of the building facing the ocean, and you'd be mistaken if you thought that you can just walk to the beach. In fact in our two days here, we did not go swimming or enjoy the beaches. I don't think this area generally is an area you'd want to visit with young children. We had to drive for every little thing that we needed to Walgreens as there was no sensible shopping nearby. Yes there are kiosks, but unless you are a group of teenagers coming here for springbreak I would not recommend that. The host Viviana contacted us before we arrived by text, asking that we also send a deposit of $200 to a paypal account. I did not feel comfortable about this but we did. After that we never saw the host. I contacted her because the wifi stopped working and only after several messages did she finally send a brief text she'd look into it. That never happened. I needed wifi for job-related meetings and ended up cancelling most of them. During our stay there, my daughter got sick (very likely food poisoning from the kiosks) and soiled one of the blankets. I contacted Viviana again asking where we can wash it. Only after several messages and calls she briefly responded advising us not to worry and that she will take care of it. As I am writing this review, I am on the phone with Booking.com because our deposit is still not returned after two weeks.
