  : The security desk was friendly. The decor was more up-to-date than the room.
  : The room was dated - fixtures, bedding, furniture. For example, the toilet had a handle to flush, which was what from the 80's . The towels were worn and not enough were provided. When it rained the room flooded. The owner did nothing to compensate us for the flooding, which impacted our clothing. All they could do was say "it was the worse rain they experience". So it's the rain' fault it flooded or that the room was not properly sealed. What was very strange is that it wasn't coming from the windows... we were not able to locate where it was coming from.

  : The location and view of beach from the window, the comfortable beds, and close proximity to lovely beach.
  : I was very disappointed that the standard was so low as somehow Castle 1033 had quite good reviews. It was shabby outside by pool area and also inside, eg. chipped tiling in the kitchen and bathroom and stale smells in both the appartment and the corridor outside. The stove with two hotplates was really old and of poor standard. Management needs to invest in maintenance and upkeep. The door lock didn’t work at first and was problematic. Basically we couldn’t lock the room due to faulty thumb turn on the locking mechanism. Then one of the personnel showed us how to set it in the right position and not to touch it after that. But it should not be that hard. The landlord needs to fix this right away. The airconditioning was extremely loud and not possible to have on at night. Also I had no idea there would be no cleaning during the week. If this is the case why was there no vacuum cleaner so that guests can hoover themselves? I requested a vacuum cleaner after three days and received a really small and very basic device with hardly any suction. On the 6th day of our 7 day stay the cleaner came and washed the floor.All in all, to get decent accomodation in Miami Beach it seems one needs to pay much more than in Europe.
