Days Inn by Wyndham Mobile I-65

  : The location of the hotel was ideal
  : I booked the room in my name and lost my Id in route to Mobile. The staff wouldnt let me book the room without a copy of my Id and wouldnt let me change the reservations without calling booking.com customer service. Which was a hour and a half sitting outside in the car after riding 5 hours to get there. Then when we got off the phone with booking the front desk representative informed us that they required $100 deposited that would be returned within 3-4 business days but didn't state that during booking at anytime. I really was disgusted with this entire ordeal. I will never stay at this Days Inn again and I'm seriously thinking about not using booking again. I'm a loyal customer of booking.com and I cant believe they allowed a property to false advertise one price and charge another.

  : The inside of the room wasn't bad. Too bad the exterior doesn't match the inside. Lobby was nice but strange. The "conference center" looked very nice and professional. The breakfast was "ok". Not much was offered, some pastries, juice granola bars and one mcmuffin type sandwich that had to be warmed in the microwave. It was more tasty than it looked like it was going to be.
  : The exterior of the property is very run down. Shady characters hanging around in the parking lot cooking something and there was pot smell in the air. I was afraid all night someone would break into my car or something. A large group of people were congregated in the courtyard right outside my room, talking loudly and playing music. Luckily, they did quiet down at a reasonable hour but I was nervous and barricaded my room door with my luggage.Also, I use Google Maps GPS as I travel and for some reason, it directed me to an empty lot clear across the main street from where the motel is actually located. I went into the Drury Inn which was next door to the empty lot and they said it happens all the time. They told me where the motel was actually located and it was a bit of a chore to make my way to the other side if the main street.
