  : Lamothe House Hotel is an amazing historic house on the edge of the French Quarter. It is beautiful but a little run-down and about to close for a month for renovations. The location is great - near Frenchman’s Street - and on Esplanade St which is green and shady. Comfortable beds, good staff but needs many minor fixes!

  : Initially they gave us an awful room, #103, smelled so badly of black mold that other guests walking by outside made comments. It was dark with no light and very small and the shower was gross and did not drain so you would be standing in 4 inches of water while trying to shower: the room is not fit for humans to live in, it is disgusting and a health hazard. They moved us to a nicer room when I spoke to them but then made us move rooms without notice after a day and then told us we could not use the pool for the entire day even though it was sweltering hot because they had to paint the pavement - we chose this hotel and paid for it because of the pool, also the hot tub was broken during our entire stay - made absolutely no sense: we had to pay to use a pool somewhere else and my gf and friend were very upset having to move without prior notice. The front desk ladies are nice but taking away the pool without any compensation and giving us the worst room I’ve seen in nola and making us move without notice is pretty awful - I’ve stayed here 4x before but doubt I would come back after this

  : Location is very good for all things French Quarter. Parking is fenced and gated directly adjacent to the property. I was charged $40 per day for parking. The main building on Esplanade is the historic property with an interior courtyard seen in the promo pics. There are shotgun houses across the street from the main parcel at the backstreet.
  : I would invest in a proper front desk arraingement. The room where the check in is located has an echo issue, this in no way affects the accomodations. I think the staff would appreciate a front desk set up comparable to other hotels.

  : Booked this place at the last minute and was so happy that we did. The bed was comfy, the courtyard was lovely (and so was the pool), staff were friendly and helpful. It's a great value in the area while not being too deep in the loud parts of the French Quarter.
  : FYI there is no paid parking, and all the parking in the area is pretty much 2-hour parking, so we did have to move our car a couple of times. But it was no real issue and you save parking garage fees!The shower took a long time to get hot.
