  : The location was great. It was clean, interesting architecture, attractively furnished, nice bathrooms.

I hope someone informs the owners.We were VERY unhappy to be informed by your office 17 hours AFTER our free cancellation date that the advertised patio was unavailable, and only after we specially asked - were told that the 2- car garage was also unavailable. (Parking cost each couple $47 in the garage + street parking for arrival and departure.) We were given 2 hours to make a final decision about renting or cancelling without penalty. This was NOT enough time to explore other options, so we were stuck with it. Both advertised features played a big part in our decision to select this property rather than others, and they way it was handled left us feeling duped. Obviously this was a long-term renovation project and we should have been told in a timely fashion. Besides not being able to use the patio, large drop cloths covered the windows in the breakfast nook and the door in the den, blocking sunlight and a view. It was also a calculated move to hide the fact that the pool is 20 minutes away by car! We really didn’t care, but others will. At the very least, we should have been offered some type of consultation - to pay for parking ($100 for 2 cars for the 5 days ) or a gift certificate of some type! On the positive side, the home was in a great location and was very clean and in good condition, but very drafty. There were extreme differences in temperature in the rooms - especially downstairs. The bed in the master br is very soft and uncomfortable. Instructions/a simple guide for the TV remote would have been helpful. We actually thought we only got 6 channels the first night. The water /ice dispenser in the refrigerator doesn’t work and there was no sign to warn us of that - or that the ice maker does work in the bottom freezer. When the bottom freezer drawer is opened, it’s not initially apparent that there is another drawer with ice, so that was also annoying.
