  : -The lobby is the nicest area of this hotel. -The fitness center is also nice, and quite clean. We appreciated the bottled water. -Widely unadvertised, a surprising amenity was a sauna and steam room (out of order though)/locker rooms w/ showers.-Free parking but see notes below.-Proximity to Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium is perfect and easy-The restaurant had delicious food but see notes below.-The bar was open late and there are several lounge areas.-We ate at the restaurant 3 times - twice for dinner and once for breakfast. Both times for dinner, Heather was our server, and she was wonderful. Polite, attentive, personable, and with no errors in orders. We really appreciated her service.
  : -Safety of the fitness center areas: Initially it appears as if you need to use a room key to enter the fitness room, but the lock mechanism was not working and anyone could just walk in. Considering that the locker rooms don't lock from the inside, therefore the showers, sauna and steam room are then open for anyone to access. *While visiting the sauna around 9 pm, by myself, I felt quite unsafe using the sauna when anyone could just walk in while I was undressed and alone. This is also a HUGE safety issue as any child could have wandered in and hurt themselves on the gym equipment, turned on a shower and burned themselves, wandered into the sauna, etc. Marriott's corporate office needs to address issues like this immediately. (Also, the showers in the ladies locker room should be cleaned more often)-The steam room was out of order, which was a big disappointment for me. The lady at the front desk said maybe they were waiting on a part but gave me 2 breakfast vouchers.-The pool was out of order/under construction - Another amenity that we did not get to use.-parking: The parking deck is VERY poorly lit. There should be way more lighting to increase visibility and safety.-The Starbucks is not open all day. I was unclear as to what times they were open.-There are 3 restaurants that have 3 different menus but 2 of them can be ordered from at any time (I believe one is just breakfast). This is a confusing concept.-We had to ask twice for more towels and washcloths. Please just include enough linens up front for the number of people x number of days of stay. Not everyone wants daily housekeeping to come in.-The bathroom seemed clean enough but the wallpaper was peeling off the wall and the light fixtures were rusty and quite dim. Better lighting would have been ideal.-The tub/shower was not draining properly, probably due in part to the bath faucet still running water when the shower head was turned on.

  : The property was very nice in the lobby and the staff were all very polite. The complimentary parking was a plus.
  : The AC in our room wasn’t working properly. I called the front desk and apparently the engineers were already working on the issue. But, they said to expect it to cool down in an hour. It didn’t get cool at all until almost 4am. It made it very uncomfortable trying to sleep. Also, for the price of the room you would think a mini fridge would have been provided in the room. That seems pretty standard in most hotels these days. The bathroom sink also didn’t drain well. It seemed like it was clogged.
