  : They confirmed booking accepted payment, when we arrived the place was closed down. We had to find a different hotel and ended up paying 3 times more!

  : Close to the gala/downtown Topeka It was clean. Kitchen was normal. Microwave and mini fridge. Sink. But no stove. Still kinda nice to have that. 5 separate spaces of kitchen, sitting room, bathroom/dressing room, bedroom, balcony
  : First the girl said we weren't in the system and I could call Booking.com myself. Because on top of that check in wasn't until 3 (it was 1 pm). After I called Booking she decided to maybe restart the computer and my reservation was magically there. She must have heard me talking (on purpose) because I did ask for an early check in due to having to be at the gala at 3:30. I was working the gala. So not much choice. I know that hotel barely has anyone staying there. Parking lot only has a few cars in it and they aren't parking anywhere else because it's a bad neighborhood. So you can't tell me there wasn't a clean room in that hotel for her to tell me-House keeping isn't done yet. I had to fix my face. What's sad is it's the neatest hotel. My husband and I stayed there 17 years ago to get married and it's gone downhill since. Every year I think maybe next year it will be fixed up/cleaner. Just to be disappointed. The smell of must hits you in the face when you walk in. It's totally run down. We live in a 160 yo house so I like quarkiness. But the bed leaned both towards the headboard and to the right....with a dip in the middle. Not comfy at all. No toilet paper. The TV played the same song on a 20 second loop the whole time because there was no remote. The remote in the bedroom-batteries didn't work.
