  : Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent coffee. Comfortable and clean common areas. Controlling the room from an iPad was fun.

  : I've stayed at CitizenM in Paris. The rooms are basically interchangeable, the same. I like the design, the cleanliness, the quiet, the location, the hours that breakfast was available.
  : The pillows: I had four, and all of them were firm and large, which is bad for my neck--a recipe for herniated discs. As a result, I had difficulty sleeping. Although the staff at breakfast were friendly, many of the food options were on the stale side--meaning, not fresh.The downstairs restaurant could have also had a better selection of food. Booze, there's plenty variety. I did not get a chance to go to the upstairs restaurant, which I heard was nice, because of the thunderstorms.This is not a hotel for first-timers to Washington. There's no real front-desk personnel to interact with, except to help with the check-in kiosk. The expectation is that it is impersonal, automated. Perhaps, you could rely on the iPad in the room for visitor's information, and I did check it out. So, if you are going to stay here, you had better do your homework in advance.
